How much will it cost?

Our commitment to a professional service means that the costs involved are significant. The donations requested for counselling sessions are intended to balance the need to keep the service viable whilst at the same time, accessible to all. However, The Well has a policy by which all cases are considered on an individual basis, so no one will ever be turned away because of their inability to pay.

We use a sliding scale for donations which your counsellor will discuss with you.  The minimum donation is £10.00 for those on a low income and £35.00 for those in full time employment.

(Listening service) Thank you for the listening ear.  May God bless the work you are doing.  A lot of people in this world just need a listening ear and prayers, God bless you with thanks"
Our counsellor was very helpful. I could tell she had spent time thinking about us between sessions and helped us through a very difficult period
My counsellor was wonderful and I really think that the counselling I received has helped me address some important issues I had.
My time spent with you has brought me back to normal. I thank you for your time and listening to me. I feel alive again
I found the counselling sessions very helpful and felt so much better in myself afterwards.
When I first contacted The Well I had reached a terribly low point in my life – but the gentleness with which I was treated gave me the confidence to embrace the counselling I was offered, at all times I have been treated with compassion and respect and have never felt threatened or pressured to discuss any more than I was able to deal with. I have had counselling in the past but none of it compares with the level of care I have received from the volunteers at The Well.
I really didn’t know what to expect and when friends ask about it it’s hard to explain how it has helped me so much but just to say it has. Sometimes in a session I could almost feel something inside me ‘click’ into place and other times it was a gradual process but I am a different person to when I started on this incredibly positive way
I am now a strong advocate for counselling as found the whole experience extremely helpful. Would now encourage others to undertake a course where needed.
